There are two parts to the roller system: firstly, there are the 6 inch wide, embossed patterned rollers in 9 different designs; then there is a choice of two applicators, one for use on fabric and the other for paper, wood & walls. The rollers are reusable and interchangeable. The fabrics have the look of traditional handmade block-printed fabric, and are not for heavy use. Like any other hand-printed fabric, they need very delicate hand washing with a mild detergent. The paper and walls roller gives a sponged, gently handmade look, like old, forgotten, sunbleached wallpaper. It particularly suits old walls.

Fabric Applicator

Has a swiveling tank that has two parallel chambers, which means you can do use two different coloured paints for a design.
A series of rollers within the tank transfers a thin layer of paint onto the pattern of the roller, which then applies it to the fabric.

You can use waterbased fabric paints , but we encourage recycling paints you might already have, the paint you choose depends on the use intended for the fabric ( see the step by step instructions below for details.)

Wall, paper & wood Applicator

This is a much simpler applicator and rather resembles a traditional paint roller, with a foam roller applying a thin layer of paint on to the patterned roller which then transfers the pattern on to the wall. The high density foam means that there is sufficient paint for three full passes down a typical wall.
